What is the Angel Food Ministry?

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. Angel Food works through churches and community organizations in over 32 states.

Angel Food Ministries attempts to provide approximately $60 worth of groceries each month for only $30. Orders are taken during the first part of each month and the food is available for pickup on a Saturday morning near the end of the month. You must pay for each unit when the order is placed.

 

Dry Ponds Baptist Church is one of the host sites in western North Carolina that is working with Angel Food Ministries to take orders and distribute Angel Food. We accept Cash, Checks and Food Stamps.

Who can buy Angel Food?

There are no restrictions or requirements that must be met to participate. Anyone can purchase one or more units each month. Purchasing one month does not obligate you to purchase in future months.

When can I buy Angel Food?

Angel food is a once a month opportunity. Orders are taken during the first part of each month with distribution occurring on a Saturday morning near the end of the month.  Download the current menu/order form (at the top of this page). It contains the important dates and times for this month.  Below is a table that shows the dates for the first part of 2010.

 

These dates will be early than the dates on the www.AngelFoodMinistries.com website because we need some time to process the orders locally.

How can I buy Angel Food?

 

We accept orders online, by mail and in person.

 

To order online using your credit or debit card:

Go to www.AngelFoodMinistries.com/host.asp?id-2935 . Find the Order Online button and follow the on screen instructions.

 

To order in person: Someone will be at the church office to take your order at the times are listed on the current menu/order form that can be downloaded using the link located at the top of this page. Payment must be made at order time.  We accept cash, checks, money orders and Food Stamps.

 

To order by mail: Orders can be sent by the US Postal Service to the address listed on the menu/order form.  Please enclose a check or money order for the full amount with your orders.  We can not accept Food Stamps as payment for mailed in orders because we use a paper form that requires your signature.

 

We can not accept orders via phone or email because we do not have the ability to accept payment via these communication methods.

Why should I buy Angel Food?

Because Angel Food is a Bargain and a Blessing:

 

THE BLESSING: Although, the host location (Dry Ponds Baptist) does not receive any compensation for their participation, Angel Food Ministries donates $1.00 per unit of food sold back to the host site for local benevolence needs. We also receive free units of food to cover any breakage or shortage based on the number of units that are purchased. Normally there is very little damage and we can donate the extra food to those in need. So by buying Angel Food, you are increasing the number of boxes for food that we have available to donate to those in need.

 

THE BARGAIN: Angel Food Ministries attempts to provide approximately $60 worth of groceries each month for only $35.
